Periodontal Disease And Jaw Anyone Know Anything About Remedial Work For Periodontal Disease (bad Jaw Bone Loss Around Tooth Sockets)?

Anyone know anything about remedial work for periodontal disease (bad jaw bone loss around tooth sockets)? - periodontal disease and jaw

I think it depends on the amount of actual bone loss they had. When bone loss is severe enough, can not work the abutment and need extracting the most. Sometimes the teeth can work well, even with bone loss, and only the regular cleaning and curettage can be the area required. A third treatment is guided tissue regeneration, where a small piece of surgical grade Teflon as a tent placed over the bone lesion, but the formation of new bone around the tooth to lead. Not all cases, and requires considerable skill on the side of the patient in the area kept free of infection and contamination. The results are a bit variable. These jobs will be answered best by a periodontist or gum specialist or a dentist with extensive experience of these treatments. Good luck.

I worked 4 years in a dental office. Periodontal disease or periodontitis, is irreversible. The best thing to do is improve the oral hygiene habits, develop smoking (if smoker), go to your dentist on schedule and keep a positive attitude.
